Halloween lantern composting
Last year we had over 100 pumpkins in our Pumpkin Smash and invited a local school to join in the Smash. This year, under the Covid restrictions,
we restricted the number to a token 4 as a token of the need to compost old carved lanterns and are allowing the pumpkins to slowly decompose in the bin.
If you
still have any carved pumpkins please compost them either smashing them on the compost heap, in the bin or smashing and burying them in a post-hole or trench.
