The composting demonstration site will not be open to the public for Learning About Compost day as the new paths will not be ready. However it will be ready for the Garden
Plant Sale & Family Day
We welcome between 1500-2000 visitors, of all ages. Come to the compost site and also buy plants, and spend the day exploring a variety of stalls around the themes covered by the Botanic Garden's work: education, research, botany, horticulture, conservation,
sustainability, both global and local.
There are specialist plant nurseries, arts and crafts stalls with sales and activities, environmental/wildlife societies with information, activities and entertainments. You can listen to local
bands while you enjoy refreshments on the lawn, all in aid of the Botanic Garden. Whether you are looking for plants for your garden, craft items for gifts, or an enjoyable day out with friends and neighbours, there is something for everyone.
