We are in the process of adding a new Mantis Tombola style rotary composter to the demonstration site. We just need some fine weather to finish the task. Watch this space

We will be at The Food Gusto Christmas Fair at Ashby De La Zouch on 28th November. It offers the regions beat food and drink, local wines and cider, barista coffee bar Father Christmas and composting information. Come and join us.
NB: The Composting Demonstration site at the Botanic Garden will not be staffed that afternoon

I have now added a section on composting plums to the site having had  quite a few windfalls this year .Composting Fruit

The Composting Demonstration will be staffed every Saturday afternoon during September and October. Please visit us if you are in the area. entry is free. Will be be making Rotbots on the 12th September

We will be helping children make  Rotpots at the Universirty of Leicester Botanic Garden on the 12th September 2-4pm. bring the kids alone and make a compost bin in a bottle and then take it home a watch it rot. (it beats watching paint dry). Plant a seed in the compost when it is ready and if you are luckly you might even be able to eat the end product.
