We have started composting the food waste, including cooked food, from the cafe at Bradgate Park http://www.bradgatepark.org The first bins brought into use are two Hotbins, The Jorra is next on the list. The rest of the demonstration site will be brought into use over the winter with new bins being delivered as more of the site becomes available

Apple or banana which will worms compost the more quickly?
A simple test of a possible new composting session for schools using 10 worms and an apple and banana. Day one chofruit is added to 10 worms living in a small amount of worm compost. We will be taking photos over the next month. More information on the School Compost Class page Session 13
